User Experience Design

UT Life Science Library

The Life Science Library website is excellently organized and extremely user-friendly for new students. Since UT Libraries is in the process of transitioning all sites into Drupal, however, the librarians at the Life Science Library decided it would be the perfect time for an update. Working with their staff, I created the wireframes for the new design and implemented it in Drupal 7.

UT Libraries Copyright Tutorial

UT Libraries hosts a copyright tutorial to help graduate students learn how to protect their academic work. The site provides all of the necessary information, but it's in need of an update. Using a presentation the client created as a reference, I created the wireframes for a new design.

Volunteer Austin

After defining the initial concept of a user-friendly, Austin-based volunteer website, a fellow classmate and I spent a semester designing and testing that concept.  We gathered requirements, created personas, designed wireframes, conducted user tests, and developed a hi-fi prototype using Drupal 7.

UT iSchool Website Redesign

After struggling to navigate the School of Information's website, four other students and I redesigned it. We conducted interviews with staff and informal user tests with students. We came up with a new information architecture and visual design, improving the overall user experience.
